The unprecedented events of Covid-19 dealt an undeniable blow to every aspect of the theatre industry, impacting production, development, and careers both burgeoning and established. With the widespread cancellation of university-organized showcases and no clear end in sight, graduating senior classes had to find innovative ways to navigate their introduction to the industry. That is when Chisholm Designs stepped in.

Initially working on a solution for the temporary moratorium on live performance, it soon became clear that an effective, engaging, and accessible Digital Showcase option could solve not only the problem of the present, but the needs of the future. As we all spent the last year and a half stepping back and re-examining old norms and standards, it became clear to us at Chisholm Designs that the right platform for a digital showcase could prove wildly successful, on its own or as a supplement to a live showcase.

But We Love Our Live Showcase!

We firmly believe there is nothing that can replace the magic of a live performance. Showcase Digital is not meant only as an alternative to a live showcase, but also a companion piece to it. Showcase season is hectic and agencies sometimes watch multiple showcases a day. That is a lot of faces to remember. Showcase Digital allows the Industry Professional the chance to revisit a performance after they returned to the office that day, or even months later. We maximize the opportunity for your students' success by giving them a platform that is available long after the live performance has ended, and minimize their chance that their headshot gets lost in a pile.

I Don't Believe A Digital Showcase Can Be As Effective
